With the demise of other legendary events and circuits, the TT Races stand as the last of the great motor-sporting tests in the world today.
Remaining largely untouched since 1911, the 37¾ miles of public roads have played host to some of the greatest motorcycle races and riders of all time.
From Mike Hailwood’s epic duels with Giacomo Agostini and Phil Read, to the record-breaking rides by Geoff Duke, Mick Grant and Joey Dunlop, the TT simply reverberates with special memories.
So what better place could there be to turn back the clock to the golden age of motorcycling and relive the sights, sounds and smells of classic racing than the Isle of Man?
The Classic TT celebrates the history and heritage of the TT and motorcycle racing, offering four action-packed days of motorcycling nostalgia. Including the world’s most prestigious classic motorcycle races, the Classic TT will boast the best road racers on the planet riding the most exotic and iconic motorcycles.
Taking place over the August Bank Holiday Monday, the Classic TT will also provide the centrepiece of the new Isle of Man Festival of Motorcycling, alongside the Manx Grand Prix, two of Britain’s biggest off-road events and the ever-popular VMCC Rally.
So this August, we will be delighted to welcome you back once more to the Isle of Man - Road Racing Capital of the World!
A FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT
Famous machines and famous riders will be an ever present feature of the Classic TT with a number of nostalgic spectator-friendly events taking place over the four days.
Central to this is the VMCC’s hugely popular Festival of Jurby, which has quickly become the biggest single spectator attraction away from the Mountain Course.
Focusing on vintage motorcycles and vehicles, together with a host of attractions for all the family, the Festival of Jurby now attracts in excess of 5,000 bikes and features some of the most iconic machines and riders in TT and motorcycling history.
Look out too for a number of special events held in and around the Classic TT Paddock that will delight all lovers of motorcycling, Manx heritage and social history; period dress will be a must!
Offering traditional family entertainment, chat shows, autograph sessions, parade laps, air displays, and even the return to the paddock of the famous Cocoa Tent, there really is something for everyone at the Classic TT. The only trouble you’ll have, is fitting it all in!
