Local rider Kneen made history at the 2008 Manx Grand Prix when he became the first rider to record a hat-trick of wins at the ‘Amateur TT’ and his TT debut 12 months ago didn’t disappoint – indeed, he was one of the revelations of the event. Armed with a 1000cc machine for the first time he took two top 12 finishes, also lapping in excess of 125mph, whilst he was again in the top 12 in the opening Supersport race. Caught out by the damp in the second Supersport encounter, Kneen has all the talent to become one of the TT stars of the future and if he can kerb some of his youthful exuberance and smoothen out his riding, there’s no reason why he can’t go all the way and his progress in 2010 will be eagerly watched.
