After an up and down year in 2008, Hutchinson got his career back on track in 2009 and was one of the revelations of the 2009 TT. One of a select band of riders to win two TT’s in a day, the softly spoken Yorkshire rider was all set to be crowned rider of the week until being felled by oil on the last lap of the Senior but he’d done more than enough to prove he was back to his best. He once again lines up with the highly experienced Padgetts team, as he does in the British Supersport Championship, and will be looking to add Superbike success to that already achieved in the Supersport and Superstock divisions.
