Amor continues to keep the Scottish flag flying and follow in the footsteps of many other star TT riders from north of the border and he made significant improvements in 2009 with two podiums in one day, lapping at close to 129mph in the process. A move to the JMF/Millsport Yamaha team was called off just three weeks before the 2010 road racing season started, leaving the 38-year-old looking for a ride in the TT. After hunting for sponsorship, Amor was able to confirm his entry with KBMG Racing to run BMWs in Superbike and Superstock classes and a Ten Kate Honda in the Supersport races. However, a bone-breaking injury for Steve Plater at the North West 200 left a ride at HM Plant open, and the Honda (UK) team quickly secured Amor's service, to ride the Fireblade in the Superbike and Senior races, alongside his privately-entered Honda in the Supersport races. Amor is also riding the 666 Road Racing bike in the TT Zero clean emissions race during the 2010 TT.
