Record-breaking airline schedule planned

A Manx2.com aircraft lands in the Isle of Man

TT 2008 may be seven months away, but excitement is building and preparations are well under way.

Isle of Man-based airline Manx2.com has announced its schedule for the festival, and it’s a record-breaker!

The company has schedule up to 20 flights a day between the Isle of Man and Blackpool during the TT, starting at 8.30am and departing almost every hour throughout the day.

Plus, the airline has capacity to increase the number of flights to meet extra demand.

Manx2.com’s communications director James Filleul said:

‘We are already taking quite a few bookings for TT 2008, and we will be offering what is effectively an hourly shuttle between the Isle of Man and Blackpool in order to cope with demand.’
‘With up to 20 flights a day customers will have a huge choice of flight times, and we will have the capacity to cope with what is always the busiest time of the year.’

Mr Filleul said planning for TT 2008 began immediately after this year’s event, which saw Manx2.com offer more than 400 flights over the Centenary TT period.

He added:

‘TT is obviously a massively busy time for many local companies, but its popularity particularly suits our model of offering very frequent flights to and from the Island.’
‘We see our role as being there to offer an excellent choice of flight times, with some good low fares.’
‘And with all those flights, for those Islanders who are looking for a little peace and quiet, they will have plenty of opportunity to go in the opposite direction at great prices!’

Fares start from £39 for a single, including taxes. To find out more click here.
