The Isle of Man TT was well represented on the opening day of the NEC Motorcycle and Scooter Show in Birmingham on Thursday.
A team from the Isle of Man Government’s Department of Tourism and Leisure travelled to the show to unveil the race schedule for 2008, but there was also a wealth of road racing talent spotted throughout the day.
John McGuinness, the 13-times TT winner and outright lap record holder, Ian Hutchinson, who won his first TT in 2007, and veteran racer Ian Lougher joined DTL TT and Motorsport Manager Paul Phillips on the Black Horse Stage to talk about the new race programme.

However, also seen at the show was Bruce Anstey, who in 2007 once again won the Superstock TT, the ever-popular Guy Martin, nursing the injuries he suffered at Macau, and Manxman Conor Cummins, winner of the Duke Road Race Rankings.
Even the DTL team boasted TT stars, Rider Liaison Officers Richard ‘Milky’ Quayle and John Barton.
The TT will be strongly represented throughout the show, which runs until December 2, with a permanent presence on the Duke stand (2H50) near the Black Horse Stage.

In addition, December 1 will be a day of celebration to mark the TT’s Centenary. Several star names are expected to attend to take part in a series of special events, including legendary motorsport commentator Murray Walker, who will be officially launching the new film TT: Centenary Celebration.
