The Centenary TT is up for another award!
It has been confirmed the DVD review of the 2007 event has been nominated for a prestigious Impact Video Xtremey Award.
The Xtremey Awards were started in 2000 by Docy Andrews, president of Impact Video Distributing, to honour the efforts of video producers and athletes who have a passion for extreme sports.
Now, the annual awards are highly sought after and the presentation ceremony a well-attended, and star-studded, event. Every year producers and sportsmen and women from a variety of categories, including motocross, enduro, truck racing and many more, are recognised.
It has been confirmed that the tremendous TT 2007 DVD review has been nominated in the Best Broadcast Competition & Race Video of the Year category. The nomination is an accolade for producer Isle of Man-based Greenlight Television, as well as everyone involved in the success of the Centenary TT.
In 2007, the TT review was a two-disc set for the first time ever, featuring action from every single race in the huge-value four-hour highlights package.
It also boasted plenty of off-circuit atmosphere, interviews and bonus features, including on-board laps with Steve Plater, Ian Armstrong and Nick Crowe, on-bike footage and telemetry with Conor Cummins, interviews with Phillip McCallen and Carl Fogarty, a history of the TT, a look at MV Agusta and profiles of Dave Molyneux and the Purple Helmets.
The winners are decided by public vote, which close on March 31, and the awards ceremony will be held at the OC Pavilion, Santa Ana, California, on May 8.
