Bidding opens on limited edition Honda

Would you like to own this bike and support charity?

Bidding has opened on a limited edition Honda Fireblade boasting the same colours as the HM Plant machinery John McGuinness rode to victory at the Centenary TT.

The bike is being sold to raise money for charity and bidding started at just 99p. The Fireblade will only be on sale for 10 days through the eBay auction website.

The brand new and never used motorcycle is number one of just 10 being produced by Honda. It features an exact recreation of the paint scheme seen on the machine McGuinness rode to his 13th TT victory during the Senior Race last year.

This was the race where he set a new outright lap record, becoming the first person ever to lap the famous Mountain Circuit at more than 130mph.

The Fireblade comes with full registration and a Honda warranty, plus single seat conversion, Akrapovic exhaust system, headlight covers and Powerbronze dark screen. It has also been signed by McGuinness.

The winning bidder will not only take ownership of the bike, they will also have lunch with McGuinness and receive a signed TT book and limited edition signed TT Nitro helmet.

They will also receive a signed copy of the picture seen above. The image, captured by Jon Stroud, shows McGuinness in action during the Centenary TT on board the HM Plant-liveried Honda.

The auction is raising funds for the CJ Riders Fund.

The charity was established in early 2006 after 14-year-old racer Chris Jones lost his life in a tragic racing accident at Cadwell Park in August 2005.

The fund was set up in Chris’ memory to raise money within the motorcycle industry to provide vital medical equipment to help the future of British racing.
