Isle of Man TT coverage nominated for top award

The television coverage of the 2009 Isle of Man TT has been nominated for another prestigious award.

North One Television’s coverage has made the Best Sports Programme shortlist for the Broadcast Magazine Awards.

The TT lines up alongside TV coverage of the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Cricket on Five, Formula One’s Monaco Grand Prix, the Volvo Ocean Race and Wimbledon 2009.

Broadcast is a leading weekly magazine for the UK television and radio industry.

The awards recognise and reward excellence in the UK television programming industry and judging criteria includes creativity, quality, originality and results. There are 20 different categories covering all aspects of UK TV, including Best Entertainment Programme, Best Daytime Programme, Best News Programme, Best Drama and Best Documentary Series. Shortlisted programmes include Britain’s Got Talent, X Factor, Harry Hill’s TV Burp and the leading soaps.

North One Television Chief Executive Neil Duncanson said:
