Every race winner from the 2009 Isle of Man TT is due to attend the Media Launch of the 2010 event, it has been announced.
The star-studded launch will take place on Friday, March 19, at the Villa Marina in Douglas. The event starts at 7pm and entry is free.
Confirmed to attend are John McGuinness, Ian Hutchinson, Michael Dunlop, Steve Plater and sidecar great Dave Molyneux – who accounted for every victory during last year’s TT and are all racing again at the 2010 TT.
Adopting the usual chat show format, the media launch, which will be broadcast by Manx Radio, will also include several team, rider and entertainment announcements from the Department of Tourism and Leisure.
Fans will also get the chance to hear the thoughts of Australian ace Cameron Donald, who was unable to compete in last year’s races following an injury sustained in practice. He is one of the favourites for victory in the 2010 races, as well as the overall TT Championship.
Also appearing at the chat show will be Keith Amor, Gary Johnson and Manx favourite Conor Cummins , who all took podium places in 2009. Michael Rutter will also attend to share his plans for getting back onto the top step, while Australia’s Dave Johnson will be representing the newcomers.
TT winner turned team boss Nicky Crowe will also be on hand to outline how his newly-formed team Nicky Crowe Racing will allow him to continue his on-track rivalry against fellow Manxman Moly. Crowe’s driver Simon Neary will also attend.
The world of electric motorcycle racing will be represented by leading teams entered for the 2010 clean emissions TT Zero Race. Fans will be able to see the machines, and get an early insight into the contenders for the £10,000 prize that has been put up by the Isle of Man Government for the first team to achieve the prestigious 100mph lap on an electric motorcycle.
