2010 TT guide available for Isle of Man residents to download
A special guide to the 2010 TT races has been produced for residents of the Isle of Man.
The A4-size leaflet, produced by the Department of Economic Development in conjunction with the Department of Home Affairs and Department of Infrastructure, will be distributed to 40,918 households in the Island from May 24 by the Isle of Man Post Office.
The leaflet can also be downloaded in PDF format from this website.
The guide is aimed specifically at Island residents’ and features clear advice about this year’s TT, including information on prohibited and restricted areas, livestock and pets.
It also contains information on road safety, road closures, the one-way system on the Mountain, and has a full list of the crossing points that will be in operation during this year’s TT.
It also details the ways that residents can keep up to date with any changes to the schedule and receive up to the minute information including the official website, the information line 685888 and the dedicated TT Radio Service run by Manx Radio on 1368AM.
The leaflet includes a comprehensive TT festival calendar covering all of the official activities including a full practice and race schedule, the Villa Marina music and comedy festival events, the air displays and the start times for all of the promenade activity.
Isle of Man Tourism political member Geoff Corkish said:
“Our sole purpose in producing this guide is to help make sure that all of the Island’s residents have a handy reference guide to everything that they need to know about the TT.”
“The TT relies hugely on the goodwill and support of our local people and we want everyone who lives on the Island to enjoy TT2010 with minimal disruption. I truly hope that the leaflet encourages as many people as possible to experience the many different aspects of the TT festival.”
