Roads to close for newcomers to lap TT course
It is planned that all roads around the Isle of Man TT course will be closed by 6pm as the 2010 TT festival gets underway.
This evening was supposed to see the first practice of the 2010 event, which would have been an untimed session. However rain and low cloud has seen the planned practice session called off.
Although the untimed practice session for all entrants will not happen, it is still hoped that the 2010 newcomers in both the solo and sidecar classes will be able to undertake their escorted sighting lap.
If it is possible for the laps to go ahead, they will start as soon as road conditions are deemed appropriate. The earliest the newcomers are expected to leave the TT Grandstand in Douglas is 6.20pm.
Please listen to Manx Radio TT on 1368MW or 87.9FM in the Douglas area for further updates, or call the roads information phoneline on 01624 685 888
