Warm airport welcome for visitors to the 2011 Isle of Man TT
The spirit of the 2011 Isle of Man TT is firmly in place at the Island’s Ronaldsway Airport thanks to Manx2.com and charity Hospice Isle of Man.
Throughout the fortnight festival passengers travelling with Manx2.com will be handed a ‘goody bag’ on arrival. The goody bag, supplied by Manx Telecom, contains information and leaflets from Isle of Man Tourism, Domino’s Pizza and Mylchreests. There’s also an opportunity to win two Manx2.com ‘Gold Class’ flight tickets for next year’s TT.
In addition, there is a Kawasaki ‘Ninja’ bike from Jason Griffiths Motorcycles in the check-in area and bike fans can have their picture taken on the machine in exchange for a donation to Hospice Isle of Man, Manx2.com’s charity of the year.
Manx2.com Chairman Noel Hayes said:
“The TT period is one of our busiest times and in addition to an increased number of flights on well-established routes, this year there are special TT flights between Cardiff and the Isle of Man.”
“We hope lots of passengers take the opportunity to have their picture taken on the amazing Kawasaki motorbike and make a contribution to Hospice Isle of Man, a charity which helps so many local individuals and families every year.”
“Manx2.com has nominated Hospice Isle of Man as their charity of the year for 2011 and are donating 52 flight tickets, one for every week of the year.”
Hospice PR and Marketing Manager Mary Doyle added:
“Thanks must go to Jason Griffiths Motorcycles for lending us the motorbike and to Manx2.com for co-ordinating everything.”
“We have costs of £3.5 million to meet every year and are grateful for all contributions and donations.”
