Homestay registration for the 2012 Isle of Man TT opens

Homestay Registration for the 2012 Isle of Man TT and Manx Grand Prix Festival has been launched.
The Isle of Man Department of Economic Development has sent out registration forms to Isleand home owners who have previously registered offering them the opportunity to register for the scheme again next year.
Householders considering offering Homestay accommodation for both events are advised to register their interest as soon as possible to help to meet the ever-increasing demand and enable visitors to secure their bookings early.
The registration fee is £15.00 to include both the MGP and TT.
Homestay during the TT can be offered for any number of nights between May 28 and June 10, and for the MGP between August 18 and September 2.
Last year the department registered more than 700 properties.
Colin Kniveton, Economic Development Chief Executive, said:

I would like to thank everyone who has opened their homes previously, for their help and cooperation and it is reassuring that we can count on our residents to make TT 2012 as successful as in previous years.”
“Whilst the department has made great progress in increasing Homestay availability we still wish to see more people open up their homes in order to provide accommodation for visitors.’
