Dean Harrison will race for BMW Ice Valley Racing by Motorsave Trade in the 2012 Isle of Man TT fuelled by Monster Energy.

The Bradford rider will be on the team’s 2012 BMW SS 1000RR.

Harrison, 23, made an impressive debut at the TT last year as best newcomer in the Monster Energy Supersport races and a strong impressive result in the Royal London 360 Superstock TT

This year he will compete in the BMW Ice Valley by Motorsave Trade colours in the Dainese Superbike, Royal London 360 Superstock and PokerStars Senior races. He will also race at the North West 200.

Harrison said:

“Signing for Ice Valley is fantastic news, its a great step forward for me and I can’t wait to get started.”

“I’m looking forward to the North West 200 as a newcomer and going back to the TT for my second time. This season I hope to improve my times at the TT on the BMW and Ii'm looking forward to getting to know the North West 200.”

“I can't wait to get going.”

Team Owner Paul Shoesmith added:

“It's great to finally welcome Dean to our team for the 2012 season. I was extremely impressed with the results he produced at last year’s TT, where he finished as top newcomer in the Supersport event as well as finishing a very creditable 12th position with an average speed of 119.7mph.”

“He was also runner-up newcomer in the Superstock event to Simon Andrews, who was on our machinery last season. His riding skills and determination are evident for all to see and I think he will only improve on his results from last year given the new 2012 BMW machinery he will be riding.”

“He is a nice lad and a dedicated rider who has a positive mature attitude, he has worked hard to build on his racing portfolio to date and is just what I and the team are looking for in a rider.”
