Join Isle of Man TT star Conor Cummins for unique biking experiences

A leading Isle of Man TT racer is offering riders the opportunity to take part in unique biking experiences.

Conor Cummins has launched a new company, Conrod Events, which will give bespoke experiences initially in the Isle of Man, where it is based, but may also expand to UK and international experiences once it is established.

The company’s first events, An Introduction to Road and Circuit racing and the TT Course, is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 21.

The course will include multiple track sessions and classroom tuition at Jurby Motordrome in the north of the Isle of Man, as well as a guided lap of the TT course and lunch at the iconic Creg-ny-Baa Hotel on the way.

The one-day event will focus on racing lines, the best way to tackle an apex, body positions and riding angles, as well as how to read corners and road positioning. There’s also the chance to talk to Cummins about his career, hear his road racing anecdotes and his thoughts on his rivals and get signed memorabilia.

There are 12 places available on the course and it is priced at £150 per person.

Cummins said:

“I’ve got a real passion for events and event management and wanted to create a business that reflected that. The plan for Conrod Events is that it will start by offering bike experiences but once we become established there’s no reason that I can’t involve other activities.”

“I’ve had some great experiences in my racing career to date and wanted to pass on some of the tricks and tips that I’ve picked up. The day is not about ‘getting your knee down’, but designed to show how you can improve your bike experience whether you're a fledgling racer or just someone who wants to learn a bit more about riding a bike.”
