A new book about Isle of Man TT legend John McGuinness has been released.
John McGuinness TT Legend, created with photographer and author Stephen Davison, tells the McGuinness story in his own words in.
McGuinness gives us a unique opportunity to share in the highs and lows of his record-breaking career. He talks candidly about the dangers of his sport and the tragedy of losing close friends and opens up about how he has been forced to doubt his place in the sport.
He shares the behind-the-scenes story of what it takes to win, personal stories and pictures of family life with his wife and children. McGuinness also reveals the magic, excitement and passion he has for the sport, what it is that keeps him racing.
Featuring over more than 150 Davison’s stunning photographs alongside pictures taken from McGuinness’s private collection, including never before seen images of his childhood, the book charts every part of his TT career, from his debut in 1996 to the 2012 TT.
McGuinness is shown as a child prodigy featured on his motorbike in The Daily Mirror at the age of four, in the heady days when he stood alongside his childhood hero Joey Dunlop on the podium and celebrating his wins and lap records.
John McGuinness TT Legend is available now from the official online TT shop.
McGuinness and Davison will be signing copies of the book at Ballymoney Town Hall on Saturday from midday to 4pm.
