Michael Rutter and Bathams Prizewinning Ales demonstrated their capabilities in fine form at this years Isle of Man TT races which concluded last Friday.  Despite suffering some issues along the way, Rutter managed to bring the BMW 1000RR home to three very respectable top ten finishes.

The first of the two superbike races saw the Blade finish in 5th place despite struggling with handling issues on the big bike.  Changes for the second superbike race of the event made the bike more stable but harder to turn.  Adjustments in the pit meant that Rutter made his way back up from 14th place to finish in 9th, claiming 3rd fastest lap in the class overall on his last lap.

A fierce race from Rutter in the superstock class meant he was lying fourth on the last lap, however, a full tank of fuel wasn’t enough to see him maintain this to the chequered flag and Rutter had to coast his BMW home to a sixth place finish, with his bike running out of fuel from Creg Ny Baa.

Rutter said:  “Overall I’m really delighted with the results, for me to finish top six here is like being on the podium, I’m really happy with the team and the bikes.”

Rutter and Bathams Prizewinning Ales now head to round three of The British Superbike Championship at Snetterton this weekend from the 13th to 15th June.
