Vick De Cooremeter plans TT Races return in 2015
Belgian Racer Vick De Cooremeter, a newcomer at the 2014 Isle of Man TT Races fuelled by Monster Energy, is already planning his return to the Isle of Man for next year's races.
The Belgian, racing a BMW S1000RR for Okidokiracing.be, achieved three finishes, two bronze replicas and a fastest lap of 120.47.
Vick's TT career began with the now traditional newcomers speed controlled lap, under the guidance of 10-time TT race winner Ian Lougher. He then managed three closed road laps including a fastest of 105mph on the opening night, which he improved to a very credible 113mph in second qualifying, 114mph in the third session and 116.74mph by the end of the week.
Vick's TT Races debut came in the Dainese Superbike Race and after a steady start he improved his best lap time to 118.52mph and achieved an overall race time of 1 hour, 57 minutes, finishing in 46th place. He picked up his first bronze replica in Tuesday's delayed RL360 Superstock race, finishing in 48th, before concluding his debut TT campaign successfully in the PokerStars Senior TT with three 120+mph laps, 31st place, another bronze replica and his fastest lap to date.
He commented:
"I began racing motorcycles in 2007 and the videos and photos of Superbikes jumping through the streets of the Isle of Man inspired me to follow a dream. The support we received during the races from sponsors, people on the Island and the many messages from home gave the team huge confidence and for that we are really grateful."
De Cooremeter now returns to the IRRC championships in Ostend having missed the second round in Oss due to his participation in the TT.
