RigDeluge® Road Racing’s Keith Amor recently took part in a fundraising event which helped raise an extremely impressive £20,000 for children affected by cancer.

The first ‘Rally Round for Children with Cancer’ took place at Aberdeen last weekend and saw 10 teams of four take part with each team raising £2,000K. Road racing ace Amor proved his capabilities on four wheels too as he was awarded the trophy for the ‘Best Lines of the Day’, which will soon be uploaded onto YouTube.

The RigDeluge® teams raised £10,000 of the £20,000 with the other teams including HASS247 and Aberdeen Roughnecks American Football Team along with Cheer Leaders and RigDeluge® Road Racing Girls.

Speaking afterwards, Keith said; “It was a real good day out, more fun than anything, but you know how us sportsman are when we get involved in something motor-sport related! The whole day was a complete success in my eyes and, obviously, we were raising money for a very worthwhile cause. The money raised will make a big difference to an awful lot of people and I was very proud to be involved.”

The RigDeluge® team will be continuing their charity efforts later in the year with Keith and Scots rally ace Quintin Milne taking part in a head to head challenge to raise a further £10,000. On this occasion, the duo will compete in a time trial at Knockhill but with a twist as Keith will be behind the wheel of the EVO 9 Rally Car and Quintin on board an RD600SS road bike. Further details can be found on justgiving.com under RigDeluge.

Keith’s immediate attention falls on the Isle of Man TT Road Races though where he’ll be campaigning the Rig Deluge® BMW S1000RR and Honda CBR600RR machines in the Superbike, Senior, Superstock and Supersport races.
