2013 British Superstock Champion Hudson Kennaugh will make a dramatic return to the Isle of Man TT Races, powered by Monster Energy, having secured entries for all of solo races.

The South African, who last competed at the TT in 2011, will campaign a Buell 1190 for the Splitlath Group in the RST Superbike, RL360 Superstock and Pokerstars Senior Races and a 675cc Triumph for Charlesworth Motors in the two Monster Energy Supersport Races. He will also contest the three lap Bennetts Lightweight TT Race on a 650cc ER6 Kawasaki for Shirlaws Motorcycles.

The 33-year old showed excellent form on his previous TT performances, lapping at close to 122mph on his debut in 2010. That year saw him finish all five of his races, earning three bronze replicas and recording a best lap of 121.759mph. He returned in 2011 but was out of luck as he was forced to retire from the Superbike, Superstock and Senior Races but not before more 120mph plus laps were achieved.

His comeback to the Mountain Course will be welcomed by TT Fans with the Ashby-based rider currently occupying second in this year’s Superstock Championship with three podiums from the first three rounds, which included victory at Donington Park.

A former South African Superbike Champion, Kennaugh moved to the UK in 2006 and went on to finish third in the 2007 British Superstock Championship and second behind Glen Richards in the following year’s Supersport series. He also wild-carded in the World Supersport rounds at Brands Hatch and Donington Park, finishing 10th and 5th and went on to finish second in the 2010 British Superbike Evo Championship for the Splitlath team.

Commenting on his return to the Isle of Man Hudson said:

“I’ve definitely got unfinished business with the Isle of Man.  I’m enjoying racing in the British championship but I think that I can have a good go at the roads as well and I’m really happy with the rides that I’ve secured.  Although I’ve been away for a few years now, I’m pretty confident that I can get dialled in again quickly and be competitive.”
