Barregarrow. This is the stretch where the top men gain seconds and the back markers don't. Access from inside the course B10 and outside the course via the minor road up from the A3 at the cross-roads. Pedestrian access from behind the hedges from top to bottom. |

Douglas Road Corner. At the junction of the A3/A4 roads. Facilities down the road in Glen Wyllin. Fast right hand approach to Kirk Michael. Normally okay to cross to the Mitre for lunch (with authority from officials). If you are touring and "popping in" for a look, this is the furthest north you can approach the course from the south and west: Kirk Michael cannot be by-passed by a road vehicle from outside the course. |

Mitre Hotel. A fair view and a heightened illusion of speed as the bikes power their way through the narrow village. Food and drink. Small garden. |

Whitehouse Park. This is an exceptionally popular viewing point where the bikes can be seen speeding through the length of the village from the Isle of Man Bank to the Whitehouse Cottages. Usually free parking in a large field, toilets, chairs for hire and catering provided. |

Rhencullen and Birkin's Bend. Archie Birkin was killed here when he crashed whilst avoiding a fishcart during practising in 1927. From 1928 onwards roads were officially closed during practice periods. Fabulous views of the winding, rising exit from Kirk Michael. Very popular but insufficient parking. Plan ahead for a visit here. Arrive at least one hour before roads close. Pedestrian access from Orrisdale back road via old railway track. |
