Mountain Mile to Verandah

Mountain Mile to Verandah

Spectators Guide

*** Mountain Mile. Fast and clear section of the mountain affording riders clear views of any other competitors in the near vicinity.
*** Mountain Box. Sometimes known as the East Mountain Gate. Located on a sharp and unforgiving left hander.
*** George's Folly. One of the newer names on the course, named after Alex George on the occasion of his spill when in second place on the last lap of the 1977 Senior. Fast right hander.
*** Black Hut. Sited in an old quarry this shelter is on a fast left hand bend leading the machines onto the Verandah section.
**** Verandah. Although access is permitted outside the course for most of the way you are well below the road level and out of sight of the bikes. It is possible, with care - for bikes only - to get to the old Snaefell mine workings via Agneash village and from there walk up to this section. Inside the course offers exciting viewing.
