Isle of Man TT Records

For more than 100 years the Isle of Man TT has presented the ultimate challenge of machine and rider. Throughout its illustrious history, the TT has made reputations and created legends. Victory in the Isle of Man is a sure-fire way of entering the annals of motorcycle history – another is to claim a lap or race record during the TT. In 2007, as the TT marked its Centenary, lap records were shattered – culminating in the frankly amazing 130.354mph lap in the Senior TT, recorded by John McGuinness. The 2009 TT was the fastest ever, with new lap and race records seen in almost every event - perhaps most notably that man McGuinness once again raising the bar as he took the outright lap record to a staggering 131.578mph.
