Biography

Ken Meadows was an amateur club racer from Orrell, Wigan, Lancashire, with a tragically short racing career.

He started competing in 1952 on a new 1952-model Norton International 500cc Clubmans supplied by Miller''s Motorcycles of Wigan. He competed mainly on the northern short circuits, such as Altcar & Rhydymwyn.

He entered the 1952 Clubmans Senior TT, riding as number 67 and finishing 16th.

He was killed in a freak accident at the 1953 Easter Meeting at Esholt Park, Bradford when a rider in front of him crashed, causing a pile-up. He was 26 years of age.

The Norton International 500cc Clubmans motorcycle is still in existence, having been restored in the 1980''s. The engine / frame number is G1145607 and was originally registered as JP9982.
