MGP Career Summary
|No of times||1|
"John raced motorcycles for 8 years, culminating in his ride at the Manx GP in 1991, where he finished 14th on an aboslutely standard (and very wobbly) GPX600 Kawasaki. The TZ350 intended for the trip unfortunately proved too unreliable during the mainland season to be worth the risk.
John retired after the 1991 MGP, but recently resumed racing, at the age of 42, in 2002 on a ZXR400 with the British Motorcycle Racing Club. For 2003 he will be racing a Honda RS125 with Bemsee, possibly taking in some MRO rounds as well.
He is a founder member of the Old Farts Racing Team, formed to bring some lighthearted competition to club racing and to show that racing motorcycles is not the sole province of the under 40's."
