Biography

'Bob', a telephone engineer at Scunthorpe steelworks, started racing bikes just after the Second World War. His earliest Isle of Man race was the Clubmans TT. He then tried the Manx G.P. with a good result.
Through the fifties he raced Manx Nortons and AJS 7Rs his best result a 7th place and winning 10 silver and bronze replicas.
His last outings were the 1960 Senior and Junior TTs.He then raced a Sidecar for a season with Dai Moulds in the chair but wanted to start a garage business and had to retire from racing.
