Maxxis

Maxxis is proud to be Tyre Partner of the Isle of Man TT Races.
Following the success of Maxxis TT tyre partnership in 2008, we are pleased to announce a multi-year commitment to road-racings premier event. Maxxis continue to invest in British racing events at all levels, from Motocross to BSB, it’s all part of Maxxis’ ongoing commitment to support motorcycle sport and develop tyres to industry leading standards.
Maxxis tyres are developed in the worlds most hostile sporting environments: the IoM TT offers 37.5 miles of unrestricted twists, crests and straights - what better place to real world test the Supermaxx Sport.
Chief Travelling Marshall Dick Cassidy’s Yamaha R1 covered over 1200 miles on a pair of Supermaxx Sport at the TT – he said:
Maxxis tyres performed very well, with no noticeable lack of performance compared to the well known brands; I couldn’t fault them in wet or dry conditions, no matter how much I tried to push them, the Supermaxx Sport didn’t move or slide, even on Sulby straight at 187 mph the Maxxis tyres were rock steady.
Maxxis International UK managing director Derek McMartin added:
‘This is a tremendous opportunity for us to raise the profile of the Maxxis brand and our high performing Supermaxx Sport tyre among arguably the most knowledgeable and enthusiastic motorcycle sports fans.’
Founded in 1967, Maxxis grew to become the largest and most respected manufacturer of bicycle tyres in the world. Maxxis is now a world-class tyre manufacturer operating from state of the art R&D and production facilities, producing 800,000 tyres and tubes a day, with a turnover exceeding $1.4 billion.
