Me too.  Hopefully when the new PM kills the off-shore finance industry, we may get morning practice back (i'm convinced it got binned because of pressure from this sector...).  I hope everyone who wants these things back signs this thing.  If we can prove demand we might just get somewhere.

I honestly got to say, I very much  doubt, early mornig practise will ever return, this is only an opinion, not backed by facts.

Re: 2-STROKE TT!
I heard on TT Radio that the reason for no morning practice and the small bikes returning is the time to practice and race them ties up the island roads to much nowadays.

Re: 2-STROKE TT!
I dont think the riders were big fans of morning practice and now that there are few classes, the extra practice time is not necessary.   The finance sector had nothing to do with it.  Morning practice was finished by about 7.30am so never effected office work.  If anything, evening practice is worse as people leave work early to beat the road closing.

Re: 2-STROKE TT!
Morning practice was mainly stopped i believe because of marshalling levels. With the improvement of minimum marshalling levels there just were not enough marshalls available for the mornings to be safe. That and a lot of riders did not want it. Shame really as i loved being up the mountain watching the sun rise then the 1st smell of Castrol R mmmmmmmmm.
Great idea for a 2 Stroke TT Smile [:)] although this year seemed more exciting than last, it really does need more variety. But practice time would be a problem i think.

Re: 2-STROKE TT!
Hi Gang its very sad to say but i dont think you will see 2 Strokes at the TT Races in the future as from the feed back im getting over the net indicates that the Qualifying times will be reviewed for 2008 and could rise to the following Superbikes and Senior 112/115 mph and Superstocks and Supersports 110+ as to how true this is i cant say. But J Mc and others complained about the back markers this year so i can see the organisers looking very strongly at the qualifying times for the future and between you and me theirs not a lot of riders about that can achieve 110 mph on a 125 stroker , I can see to a point where they are coming from its becoming a major safety issue J Mc lapping in 17mins 30 secs and Me lapping at 20 mins 19secs he is just under 3 mins a lap quicker than me so id like to think ill get in next year but im not holding my breath. As ive said before id love to go back to the Manx but that door is closed for now i suppose i can live in hope all the best Irish Ago.....

Re: 2-STROKE TT!

Regarding some points raised about practice times:  I see no reason why 250s couldn't go out with the rest of the classes for practice.  They do at the Manx.  To say they'd be in the way is, I believe, a perceived problem, rather than a real one.  I was talking to a (recently) ex-TT 250 rider and he says he used to get held up through the twisties by Superbikes as he was carrying much more corner speed.

The Le Mans 24 hour car race accomodates cars of very different performance levels.  You might have a Porsche 911GT3 doing 180mph down the Mulsanne Straight being caught by a prototype doing 220-230mph.  They don't seem to have a problem with this and they have do it at night!

I concede that accomodating the 125s in practice presents a bit of a challenge, so how about ditching the rookie lap on the first night of practice - I've never met a rider that likes it or thinks it's useful - and give an hour of that session over to the strokers.  The rest of the session can be used as normal - it's untimed after all.  Following that the post race practice sessions that no-one really bothers with could be given over to the 125s and they could have their race on Friday morning with the Senior to follow.

Of course, all this depends on getting a worthwhile entry for both classes but does it sound like a plan?
