Michael Dunlop 350cc winner - Black Eagle Racing MV Agusta 3 cylinder replica

Michael Dunlop rode a strong race to take his first Junior Classic TT win on Monday.

The Ulsterman was down over 30 seconds on Honda Drixton-mounted Michael Rutter after stopping for fuel on his second lap.

Bridgnorth's Rutter was able to go full race distance on the Ripley Land Racing twin so aimed to make the biggest possible time cushion over Dunlop while the opportunity was there.

As Dunlop left the pits to resume the battle it looked as if he'd have his work cut out, with the gap confirmed as over 35 seconds at Glen Helen on lap three of the four-lapper.

Riding the Black Eagle Racing 350cc MV Agusta triple to the limits, Dunlop got down to work and started reeling in Rutter, passing him by Ballaugh on lap four.

The pair circulated together with Michael Dunlop just taking the line honours to win by 10 seconds.

Alan Oversby fought a strong but steady campaign to take a solid third place finish for his Davies Motorsport Honda twin while Maria Costello overcame a massive four minute delay at the start to finish 19th overall and take the win in the 250cc sub-class.
