Australian TV coverage of the 2009 TT confirmed

The record-breaking 2009 Isle of Man TT will receive extensive coverage in Australia, it has been confirmed.

In addition to two highlights programmes on Channel 10 – one of Australia’s leading broadcasters – there will be six episodes of highlights on the newly launched sports channel ONE.

ONE is Network Ten's new 24-hour free-to-air sports channel and the TT will feature alongside other top international sporting events, including Formula One, NASCAR, Major League Baseball and MotoGP.

While ONE is a specialist channel aimed at sport enthusiasts, Channel 10 is a major household name, regularly securing more than one third of the viewing public and with its top-rated shows enjoying multi-million strong audiences.

It is the latest television coup for the TT, coming after ITV’s highly praised coverage on ITV4 and ITV1 and extensive international broadcast deals – with the USA, Finland and the Czech Republic among the countries showing racing from the TT.
