Biography

Blair's TT career commenced in 1994, which included being a member of the "Maudes Trophy" winning team. The New Zealander has competed on the Mountain Course each year since, gaining his first replca in 1998, a silver for 12th place in the Junior Race. In 1999 on his way to finishing eighth in the Senior TT he became the fastest ever New Zealand rider, lapping the 37.73 mile course at 121.35 mph. Riding in four races in 2000, with support from Manx sponsors, Richard Turner (Intersport) and Des Collins (Wilson & Collins) Blair finished ninth in the Junior on the Intersport Kawasaki and seventh in the Senior on the Wilson & Collins Kawasaki ZXRR 750 machine. Away from the TT, Blair won the prestigious Southern '100' Solo Championship in in 2000, whilst on the short circuits the Maidenhead based rider, won both the Supersport 600 and Powerbike MRO/ACU Championships. He is presently recovering from injuries received in a practice accident during an end of season British Supersport Event last year.
