Fatal TT riders accident list

|
Often requested this is the sad list of those who gave it all for the TT, it may be interesting to some and part of the TTs historys facts not a part of the history that i like to dwell upon but it is a part that must not be forgotten.

That's a fair bit of work gone into that Spannerman.
I see the list as a tribute to those who have lost their lives in our sport.
Plenty of information to be added by anyone wishing to do so via wikipedia although such a project certainly warrants it's own webspace.

Im sure 169 should be Mark Farmer (rest in peace), not 'Rob' as shown on this and the wiki listing?
Great piece of work; hats off to the Wiki author; was it you spannerman?
The fatal RTA's to visitors during TT and MGP weeks arent shown; according to one study thats 3:1 spectators to racers, so condolences to everyone and careful out there.

I also thought 169 should be Mark and not Rob.
Irrelevant of the era you were watching TT's, it is a moving list and some of those names remind me of times sat in a tent having just heard the sobering news feeling so crap that I was getting enjoyment out of a sport as dangerous as this. There are certain names on that list that I could tell you exactly where I was when news came along and exactly how it was broadcast - such was the sad impact.
However, I think I, like most, feel better in the knowledge that they were pursuing their dreams at the time.

Great job in putting that list together. Its a sobering thought when u visualise in your head what may have gone horribly wrong for the rider/passenger at the accident spot. Another website where you may find our two wheeled heros that paid the ultimate price for the sport either on or off the tt course is motorsportmemorial.org.

Hi All
Alot of hard work but why ? don't shout me down on this but, when I read the list and see my brothers name on the list it makes me feel cold & empty.
It's been 18 months or more now and not a day goes by without some thought or other going through my mind, I just don't see why this list needs to be published. If you do have plans to publish this book of sorrow, I would suggest you may need/want to get the families to give their backing. I don't know how others will feel, maybe they will post there views.
