TT winner honoured

Robert Dunlop

Five-times Isle of Man TT winner Robert Dunlop been awarded the freedom of the borough of Ballymoney.

The Ulster motorcycling star follows in the footsteps of his late brother Joey, the 26-times TT winner who was also granted the freedom of his hometown.

Robert, who also won 101 Irish national road races, received the honour on Monday.

"I feel humble, but this is not just for me, it is also for all the people who have helped me during my career.'

The 46-year-old, who set a record of North-West 200 wins last year with his 15th success, has only ridden 125cc machines since his massive crash during the TT in 1994.
