The Joey Dunlop Foundation is making a final push for funds for the planned holiday home.
The foundation is planning to create accommodation for disabled people in Victoria Road, Douglas.
Foundation chairman Kevin Quirk said:
‘It is hoped building work will start this winter, but the group is now appealing to all those who have pledged cash, supplies and man-power to come up with the goods.’
‘The home will be built in two stages, and organisers hope the ground floor section will be up and running in time for next year’s TT.’
‘It'll provide much needed holiday accommodation for anyone with a disability.’
Kevin asked anyone who has promised to help to contact him on 677606.
The charity works in memory of one of the best-loved TT winners, 26-times victor Joey Dunlop, himself a keen charity worker.
