Steam Packet unveils TT packages
Isle of Man TT partner the Steam Packet is offering fans special packages to enjoy the racing in 2008 – including the eagerly anticipated Lightweight and Ultra Lightweight events.
Bookings for ferry travel are already up on the figures for 2006, so the Steam Packet has drafted in the vessel Stena Caledonia to help cater for demand.
The company has unveiled a series of special packages which will allow road racing fans to travel to the Isle of Man to enjoy the Senior TT and the Steam Packet sponsored races for 125cc and 250cc machines. The Lightweight and Ultra Lightweight TT races are taking place on the Billown Circuit in the south of the Island on June 7, alongside the traditional Steam Packet Races.
Many of road racings biggest stars are expected to line up for the races around the 4.25-mile circuit.
Among the options on offer to race fans are the following packages:
- Two nights at the Glenlough Campsite and ferry travel for a car plus two people is just £149 per person. Tent not included.

- Two nights at the Glenlough Campsite and ferry travel for a motorcycle plus two people is just £99 per person. Tent not included.

- Two nights bed and breakfast at the two star Chesterhouse Hotel and ferry travel for a car plus two people is just £245 per person. Prices based on two people sharing a twin or double room.

- Two nights bed and breakfast at the two star Chesterhouse Hotel and ferry travel for a motorcycle plus two people is just £195 per person. Prices based on two people sharing a twin or double room.

- Two nights bed and breakfast at the three star Rutland Hotel and ferry travel for a car or motorcycle plus two people is just £219 per person. Prices based on two people sharing a twin or double room.

- Two nights bed and breakfast at the three star Claremont Hotel and ferry travel for a car or motorcycle plus two people is just £239 per person. Prices based on two people sharing a twin or double room.

- Two nights bed and breakfast at the four star Hilton Hotel and ferry travel for a car or motorcycle plus two people is just £219 per person. Prices based on two people sharing a twin or double room.

- All packages are subject to the availability of accommodation and ferry space. Crossings to the Isle of Man must be made on Thursday June 5 or Friday June 6 and return crossings from the Isle of Man must be made on Sunday June 8 or Monday June 9.
