Flybe has announced all passengers in possession of ticketed EuroManx bookings for Manchester and Liverpool flights can immediately re-book their free replacement tickets with Flybe.

These tickets will be completely free of all taxes and airport charges. Flybe is committed to making every effort possible to re-accommodate passengers as close as is possible to their original EuroManx flight date and time.

Re-bookings must be made by the end of June and re-accommodation is subject to availability.

Customers to London City will be able to re-book with Flybe, subject to availability, for travel up until May 31st, 2008.

To re-book, customers need to phone 0871 522 6157. To avoid unnecessary waiting, passengers with bookings in the next 10 days should be the only ones to call before May 12th. Passengers will need to show proof of EuroManx booking on arrival at the airport prior to travel, and this will need to match the forward bookings list that will be provided by EuroManx.

Flybe Chief Commercial Officer Mike Rutter said:

‘Flybe understands the vital role that air travel has to an island community. We are therefore pleased to be able to step in and offer stranded EuroManx passengers not just the opportunity to re-book with Flybe, but to travel with us free of charge.’
‘In our commitment to serving the people of the Isle of Man, we are determined to do all we can to minimise the impact of Euromanx’ demise, not only to those it employed, but also to those passengers who need to continue with their travel arrangements with as little disruption as is possible under the circumstances.’

Meanwhile, Manx2.com is offering EuroManx passengers booked on the Belfast service a free return ticket.

All passengers with a EuroManx booking between the Isle of Man and Belfast made before May 9th, 2008, which hasn’t yet been used, are asked to send an e-mail with all the details to Belfast@manx2.com, or write to Manx2 reservations at Isle of Man Airport.

The reservations staff will then process the requests and allocate the customers a seat on the nearest available Belfast flight, free of charge.

That flight may be to either Belfast airport.

Passengers must be able to supply the relevant EuroManx booking confirmation reference to prove their booking is current.

Manx2.com Communications Director James Filleul said:

‘We are doing this to make sure that anyone who has booked with EuroManx to Belfast isn’t left stranded.
‘All they have to do is contact us via e-mail or letter, and we will re-book them on the nearest available Belfast flight free of charge.’
‘We already provide very frequent Belfast services, and we will continue to make sure that route is very well served from the Isle of Man, despite the news that EuroManx are to cease trading.’
