The incredible TT Live! service provided by the Official website of the Isle of Man TT is back for 2008, and it’s better than ever.

Launched last year, TT Live! allowed even more people to follow the action from the world-famous Mountain Circuit with ‘as it happened’ updates, results, news and more.

For a subscription of just £10 fans will be able to enjoy the Radio TT coverage, provided by Manx Radio, from every single race and practice session.

You’ll also follow the progress of the leading riders around the TT course on a specially designed dashboard, get the latest news through a regularly updated ticker tape, see the lap times straight away and receive data from the Unisys Sulby Speed Trap.

As well as getting access to live timing, results and news updates, TT Live! ensures even more people can listen to the FM-comparable quality Radio TT commentary.

In previous years a lack of bandwidth has meant some online fans haven’t been able to connect to the broadcasts and have missed the action. Increased bandwidth means more fans than ever will be able to enjoy an uninterrupted connection to Radio TT throughout the week.

New for 2008 is TT Live! Gold, offering dedicated fans even more access to the racing, the riders and the unique TT atmosphere.

TT Live! Gold offers all this and more. During practice week you’ll be able to enjoy video of riders being interviewed by Manx Radio TT’s Chris Kinley. In Race week, Gold service subscribers will be able to watch highlights of the day’s racing in a specially-prepared video of up to six minutes-long.

Plus, Gold service subscribers will be able to keep an eye on what’s happening around the TT Grandstand with three dedicated webcams. Two will be sited on top of the Grandstand tower looking down into the paddock and pitlane, and a third will be located at the stop box.

The TT Live! Gold service is just £20, but if you subscribe before May 24th, 2008, you’ll be able to enjoy everything the Gold service has to offer for just £15!

After the success of the Centenary celebrations, interest is at an all time high and millions of fans around the world are eagerly awaiting the start of the festival. And who can blame them!

John McGuinness, the 13-times TT winner and outright lap-record holder, is back and facing tough competition from the likes of Guy Martin, Manxman Conor Cummins, Australia’s Cameron Donald, Ian Hutchinson and many, many more of the biggest stars of road racing.

Plus, the Sidecar field boasts a quality entry with 13-times winner Dave Molyneux competing against Nick Crowe, John Holden, former World Champion Klaus Klaffenbock and triple World Champion Tim Reeves, making his TT debut.

With TT Live! you’ll be able to follow all the high-speed action and drama as it unfolds, live from the circuit and in incredible detail. This really is the ultimate way to experience the ultimate racing.

While TT Live! proved hugely popular in 2007, and we received great feedback from delighted customers, there is always room for improvement. Comments made during the free trial period during Practice Week last year were taken on board and improvements made before the subscription-only service began.

Over the past year further improvements have been made to make TT Live! even better.

Isle of Man-firm Duke Marketing operates the Official TT website on behalf of the Department of Tourism and Leisure.

Duke Managing Director Peter Duke said:

‘Last year was a major technical and commercial challenge for the iomtt.com team. Not only did we have to deliver audio, timing data and news reliably to a world audience, but we also had to be ready to deal with unknown levels of demand.’
‘I’m delighted that the predominantly positive feedback after TT2007 indicates that we met most of our objectives, so now we can look forward to delivering an even better TT experience for an even bigger audience in 2008.’

Manx Radio Managing Director Anthony Pugh added:

‘Manx Radio has always believed it is to the benefit of TT fans worldwide to have access to a one-stop TT website that delivers the complete TT experience directly to the home.’
‘With audio and stats all now available on just one website, and access to the Manx Radio commentary guaranteed online, we feel we are getting even closer to realising this dream.’

The TT Live! service starts on Saturday 24th May. To find out more about TT Live!, see a sample of the video quality TT Live! Gold will offer and to secure your subscription visit TT Live!
