Ryan Farquhar has continued the fine form he displayed at the Isle of Man TT earlier this year to maintain his place at the head of the Duke Road Race Rankings.

The Dungannon rider impress everyone during the TT festival when, despite splitting with the McAdoo team just days before practice started, he put in some amazing performances on the Harker Kawasaki bikes.

Farquhar’s fine riding around the TT Mountain circuit saw him add another podium finish to his Isle of Man tally.

Proving that excellent form has continued, Farquhar scored a hat trick of wins at the Walderstown meeting in Ireland, and smashed three lap records as well.

The results allowed Farquhar to extend his lead at the top of the Duke Road Race Rankings to 131 points.

He leads another TT hero, Ian Lougher, who had a hugely successful meeting at the Cock o’the North Road Races at Oliver’s Mount.

The pair dominate the rankings, with Farquhar on 1522 points and Lougher on 1391, and their nearest rival – Manxman and fellow TT winner Chris Palmer – on 777 points.

The rest of the top 10 is also dominated by riders seen at the TT, including 14-times winner John McGuinness, in 10th, two-times winner Cameron Donald, who lies eighth, Steve Plater, who claimed his first TT win this year, seventh and Keith Amor, another of the stars of ’TT08, in sixth.

The Dunlop brothers, Michael and William, hold fourth and fifth respectively having taken two-stroke wins at Walderstown.

The next round of the Duke Road Race Rankings is Kells, followed by the Faugheen.
