A commemoration of the life of Isle of Man TT commentator will be held during the Manx Grand Prix.
Geoff Cannell was a long-standing and respected race commentator who lent his voice to the TT, MGP and many other events. He was a dedicated supporter of sport in the Isle of Man, as well as a journalist, writer and politician.
Mr Cannell died last September, aged 65.
On Sunday a Service of Thanksgiving will be held at 2pm at the TT Grandstand in Glencrutchery Road, Douglas.
The service will be moved to nearby St Ninian’s Church in the event of wet weather.
Several tributes are expected, as well as a display of racing bikes. The Press Centre will also be open to allow people to see the Geoff Cannell Memorial Mirror.
The Service of Thanksgiving is open to all and Mr Cannell’s family said they would be very pleased if people can join them to celebrate his life.
Everyone is asked to dress informally and colourfully.
