Comedian Ross Noble experiences the Isle of Man TT course
Ross Noble, one of the UK’s most popular stand-up comedians, interrupted his sold out Things tour to experience a lap of the world famous Isle of Man TT circuit.
The funnyman, recently voted one of the top 10 greatest stand ups of all time by Channel 4 viewers, was in the Island to perform at the Villa Marina.
A keen biker, Ross was determined to experience the unique Mountain Circuit for himself during his visit.
He was initially taken round in a van by TT winner Richard ‘Milky’ Quayle, a local resident who won the 2004 Lightweight TT. Milky then loaned him his R1 Yamaha to do a few laps on his own.
Ross said:
‘What an amazing experience.’
‘It was fantastic to follow in the footsteps of so many great riders and I’m hoping to go back some day soon and watch the TT itself.’
Milky added:
‘I showed him the course from a rider’s perspective, what riders look for when they are racing, how we identify the racing line and which gears we use on particular corners.’
The Things tour continues until June 1, and on June 4 Ross will be at Sheffield City Hall to host a unique charity event Ross Noble Presents Riders for Health Comedy Night. Visit Ross Noble’s website for details.
The 2009 Isle of Man TT starts on May 30th. Visit the Race Schedule for more details.
