Sidecar aces aiming for victory at Isle of Man TT
Three-time World Sidecar Champion and reigning British Sidecar Champion Tim Reeves and passenger Patrick Farrance are aiming for victory as they return to the Isle of Man TT a year after their stunning debut in 2008.
Tim and Patrick, with continued support from Eastern Airways, are hoping to improve on the amazing third place they scored last year. The pair achieved the fastest ever sidecar lap by a newcomer, averaging 112.031mph around the 37¾-mile Mountain Circuit with the Eastern-backed LCR Suzuki outfit.
Tim said:
‘Racing at the TT last year was certainly one of the highlights of our season. We thoroughly enjoyed racing on the Island’s world-famous roads and we’re back again to improve on last year’s third place.’
‘Eastern Airways has played a big part in supporting our successful World and British championship wins and are again helping with our travel preparations from Birmingham to this year’s Isle of Man TT races.’
Eastern Airways’ communications manager Darren Roberts added:
‘Our sponsorship with Tim Reeves has seen some tremendous results, including three World Championships, however we’re keen to support his Isle of Man TT challenge due to our links with the Island and the event’s World appeal.’

The 2009 TT starts on May 30 and runs until June 13. Tim and Patrick will be in action in the Sure Sidecar Races, due to take place on June 6 and June 10.
