The organisers of the Isle of Man TT have issued an important message for all riders and teams planning on entering the 2010 event.
Regulations and entry forms for the 2010 TT are currently being finalised, and the Department of Tourism and Leisure has confirmed these documents will no longer be printed and posted out to interested parties. They will now only be available in electronic format.
Once completed, the regulations and entry forms will be available to download from here, the official website of the Isle of Man TT, and will be emailed to all riders and teams whose email addresses are held by the organisers.
The regulations and entry forms are expected to be available in December, with the closing date for applications on Friday, February 26, 2010. Before the final regulations and entry forms are published, drafts will be sent to all riders and teams who compete at the 2009 TT as part of the consultation process. Riders and teams will have one week to provide feedback.
TT and Motorsport Development Manager Paul Phillips said:
‘We ask all riders and teams to read the regulations thoroughly as there are a number of significant changes over the previous year’s versions.’
‘Changes have been made in the following areas and will need to be read and understood fully – Travel Allowance/Appearance Support, Personnel Passes, Insurance, Qualification, Change of Number, Winners Enclosure, Prize Presentations, Prize Money and Superstock Technical Regulations.’
‘Any rider or team who believes we may not have an email address for them should contact me at paul.phillips@gov.im immediately with your up-to-date email address. Likewise, any rider or team intending to enter TT 2010 who did not take part in TT 2009 should also contact me with their email address.’
