Swiss racer Gantner on track for 2011 TT preparations
Swiss racer Herve Gantner had a positive start to the season as his preparations for the 2011 Isle of Man TT fuelled by Monster Energy gather pace.
Gantner, who made his TT debut last year, will be back on the Mountain course in little more than three weeks. Ahead of that he is racing in the Swiss championship and will make his debut at the North West 200.
The Swiss championship started
Competing for Rhino Universal Honda in the Swizz Championship opener, which took place in Schleiz, Germany, at the weekend, Gantner finished a credible third in Saturday’s SuperStock 1000 race and fourth in Sunday’s race.
Sunday also saw him campaigning in the two Supersport 600 races, where he finished fourth in both.
Gantner said:
“I’m really pleased to get my first competitive race of the season under my belt and am looking forward to carrying on my preparation for the 2011 TT races.”
“I really enjoyed last year’s races on the Isle of Man and am looking forward to building on my first year’s experience.”
