More than 1,400 extra seats on flights to the 2012 Isle of Man TT fuelled by Monster Energy have been announced by airline Flybe.

The company has added nine return flights on its services from Birmingham, London Gatwick and Manchester to the Island, resulting in 1,484 more seats being available for weekend travel during the TT.

Tickets, from £36.99 one way including taxes and airport charges, are available for booking now at www.flybe.com

Of the nine additional return Isle of Man flights being added over the June 1 and June 9 weekends, five are from Manchester and three from Birmingham. There is also an additional morning flight between the Isle of Man and London Gatwick on June 10.

Combined with services operated by franchise partner Loganair, there will now be 170 Flybe flights to the Isle of Man between June 1 to 10, with the airline also supplementing its Q400 aircraft with one of its new 88-seat E175 jets.

Flybe’s Director of Marketing Simon Lilley said:

“In our ongoing commitment to keeping Britain on the move, providing convenient and affordable travel to and from the Isle of Man and in this instance, supporting the local tourism economy, we are pleased to add these additional flights for this important and exciting event.”

“There is always great demand for flights from fans wanting to attend the adrenalin-packed annual TT races and this is our way of directly responding to this demand during this extremely busy time.”
