Kawasaki gunning for victory in five classes at TT 2013
With practice underway on the world famous Mountain Course, Kawasaki supported teams are making ready for the 2013 Isle of Man TT racing festival with high hopes.
Competing in no less than five classes across ten races in TT week, the company has high hopes for success on both two and three wheels with an array of solo entries and the strongest possible representation in the sidecar class.
Making a welcome return to the Isle of Man will be James Hillier along with the Official Kawasaki Motors UK Superbike team, Quattro Plant Kawasaki. Already a familiar sight at the TT, 28 year old Hillier recently starred in an award winning Kawasaki Ninja promotional video shot exclusively on the 37 ¾ mile course. Entering race week as a rider tipped for success, Hillier will run the number one plate on his Ninja ZX-10R for the highlight Superbike race and be the first rider down Bray Hill at the start of six gruelling laps.
Joining the queue of riders ready to be flagged away at ten second intervals for the Superbike and Superstock races will be another rising young talent, Dean Harrison on the RC Express Racing Ninja ZX-10R. Dean has already showed promise as a TT newcomer and recently blasted his MSS Performance prepared machine through the speed trap at the North West 200 road race at a stunning 199.2 mph.
Ensuring that his young protégé gains maximum advantage, roads legend Ryan Farquhar returns to the TT complete with his distinctive KMR team and talented rider Jamie Hamilton competing across several classes partnered on track in the Supertwins race by Manx star, Conor Cummins. Bidding for yet more success in the Kawasaki dominated Supertwins class the Irish team hopes their immaculately prepared ER-6f based machines will prevail in what has become a hotly contested race of late.
For the final class it is three’s that count, three wheels, three years of Kawasaki endeavour and a third win for sidecar ace Dave Molyneux and passenger, Patrick Farrance, on their Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R powered DMR outfit. With the honour of racing on a course with a corner recently named after him, the man who ranks as the third most successful competitor to ever tackle the legendary course is understandably tipped to be among the leading three wheel entries across practice and race week.
