Sixteen-time TT sidecar champion Dave Molyneux vowed to return stronger for the 2014 TT Races meeting.

Despite not winning either of the two Sure sidecar races he and Patrick Farrance had the consolation of narrowly beating Conrad Harrison and Mike Aylott to the overall RAC TT Sidecar Trophy, awarded to the crew with the best aggregate results.

Both of the crews had a second and third placed finish and finished on 36 points overall, but Molyneux/Farrance were awarded the title by virtue of their twenty second victory in Sure Sidecar Race 2, as there was a gap of less than a second between the pair in the first race.

Molyneux believes that the sidecar class is going from strength to strength with two new winners in this year's meeting. He commented:

"It's great to see current world champions winning on the Mountain Course and with the Birchalls also getting their first win the sidecar class continues to be the pinnacle of international racing. I'm already in planning for 2014 and I'll be doing everything I can to get back on the top step."
