Biography
North Yorkshireman, Geoff Johnson took up racing in 1974 and raced in the TT from 1981 to 1990 inclusive.
In those ten years he gained 15 silver and one bronze replicas, but more importantly he achieved three TT victories, the first in 1984, repeated a year later and finally in 1987, all in Production machine Classes. Other podium places included four seconds and four thirds.
Geoff had been part of the Loctite Yamaha Team since 1987, winning what was to be his final TT victory for them that year.
His ambition to become a team manager eventually was not to be, as regrettably he died as a result of an embolism during the winter of 1990.
