Biography
Sean Jackson from Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Sean competed in the 1995
Manx Grand Prix Newcomers Lightweight race on the ex Mark Baldwin TZ Yamaha
250B. After a five year break from racing, he returned for the first time
on a two stroke. He finished runner up in the 250 Newcomers, breaking the
seven year old record held by Philip McCallen. He went on to the
Lightweight race, finishing first newcomer home in fourth place. He rode a
CBR900 Fireblade in the 95 Production TT to 31st despite serious handling
problems. A hot favourite for the 96 MGP, Sean was backed by Padgetts on a
new RS 250. Crashing heavily at Ballagarey in practice week, it was not to
be. Sean sadly died in a road accident on his bike in Aysgarth, North
Yorkshire in May 1997. He lived for bikes and loved the TT course. It was
his dream to ride it and all he could think about.
