Biography

A salesman with Manx Petroleums, married to Helen with twin daughters Leigh and Megan and a daughter Danielle won the 1991MMCC Senior Newcomers Race, setting a lap record that still stands, he has had top TT placings, including third in the 1996 Junior and the 1994 Junior and Singles. In 1998 he finished fifth in the Formula One, Senior and Junior. 1999 saw him take two second places in the Lightweight and Productions Races, and added sixth places in the Formula One, Junior and Senior TT''s. In 2000 Jason was runner up to John McGuinness in the Singles TT, finished fifth in the Lightweight 250 and eighth in the Production Race. Plus another double sixth in the Formula One and Senior TT''s.

One of the most stylish riders ever to have graced the Mountain Course, if ever someone deserved a TT win it’s Griffiths. Forced to scale down his racing activities in the last two years due to work commitments it certainly hasn’t shown and TT2004 was one of his best ever years. The softly spoken Welshman, who has amassed countless top ten finishes since his debut over a decade ago, took three podiums and few people will bet against him adding to his tally of nine during the first two weeks of June.
